The Mill

Two years in air-dry stacks before the first chisel cut

We season regional white oak, walnut, and cherry in our Pacific Northwest mill until the moisture surrenders completely.

Hand-planed finish and organic oils

Every board is hand-planed until the grain speaks for itself, removing mill marks without erasing the timber's living character.

We finish exclusively with pure organic cold-pressed oils that nourish the cellular structure rather than sealing it beneath a sheet of plastic polyurethane.

Natural seasoning

Joinery cutting

Final oiling

Sourcing fallen and reclaimed regional hardwoods across the Pacific Northwest river valleys.

Stacking flitches in open-air sheds to let the wood acclimate slowly to seasonal humidity.

Laying out mortise-and-tenon joints by eye to follow the natural curve of the growth rings.

Buffing penetrating natural oils into the grain for a warm, breathable touch.

Ethos

We do not hide wood under plastic polyurethane. The grain dictates the cut, not the clock.
